Adoption Center Volunteer:
Volunteers are the backbone of our facility and aid our staff in daily operations. While we do have individuals that prefer to work in one specific area (i.e. cats,mailings), the majority of our volunteers are multifaceted. The volunteer experience at the Adoption Center includes: dog walking / feeding / handling, cat socializing / feeding / handling, cleaning corrals, answering phones, greeting guests for special events, assisting potential adopters, and speaking to public about Animal Haven's mission. |
Mobile Adoption Van Volunteer:
Animal Haven's Mobile Adoption Van visits a different location every few days! Cats and dogs from the shelter travel on the van to meet potential adopters all over NY and NJ. Van volunteers walk, feed, and handle the animals throughout the event and assist potential adopters. So many of our adoptable animals who might not have been noticed at the shelter, find wonderful, forever homes through the this program. |
